The growth of the Internet has certainly been a breakthrough in communications for everyone in the world. I don't think it's the answer to the earth's problems as some of the hucksters would like us to believe, but it has opened up channels of communication among organizations and individuals that were previously impossible.
In Stratus-land, the Internet has opened up a flow of information among Stratus, other vendors, and end users that could never have occurred just a few years ago. The STRATAGY home page
(obsolete) provides a source of information on this organization and a place for users to find other local users. Thanks to Tim Gamble for his work with this. Stratus maintains a web page
(http://www.stratus.com) for information, as well as an ftp site full of documentation, user-provided tools, etc., maintained by Paul Green (ftp://ftp.stratus.com). There is the news group (comp.sys.stratus), as well as its mailing list echo maintained by Richard Shuford.
